There’s a well-known hymn about peace “flowing like a river.” It can happen that way, but more often, I believe, it is like the gentle flow of a tiny creek. It passes through the light of hope and over our walls of self-protection, forming a small pool of calmness. Pausing there in a moment of silence and solitude, we sense the color and beauty of life, in us and around us. Peace. And it is here with me and in me at the Seven Bridges this morning.
The fullness of peace is the end result of the singing wilderness spiritual map. Today’s reflection, though, emphasizes qualities associated with the teal portion of the map.
