Posts in this category focus on examples of art that inspire and relate to overall site goals. Knowing that people often disagree on what is art and what is not, I use it broadly and inclusively. Crafts that relate to nature, for example, particularly traditional ones of continuing relevance, fit in this category.
Sometimes it will be obvious that a post belongs in the Arts category, because the focus is on the art itself. Other times it won’t be so obvious. A video might be a work of art in itself, and if that is the post’s focus that is how I’ll label it. But if it is about trees, for instance, and I focus on the content rather than the artistic aspects of the video, I’ll put it in the Nature category.
And there will be times when a post emphasizes the Arts and also something else. In those instances, I will assign dual categories.
The tags used can greatly help. If you are trying to find once again a video that you have seen on this site, use the “videos” tag. That way, you’ll get a listing of all of them at once, and you won’t have to thumb through categories.
